Stand In Awe

Something about the beach always makes me feel thankful. The beauty, the company, the changes of weather, the smell of the salt, and the sound of the waves always make for a good time.

Staring at the ocean I can't help but to stand in awe at how big my God really is. That something as vastly beautiful as the ocean is just a small gift, one of many, God has given this world to enjoy.

I have been thinking a lot about God's creation lately and how blessed we are to have a God that loves us enough to have created our world with so much beauty that seems to go together so effortlessly. he could have created it any way he wanted but he chose beauty, not for his benefit, but for ours. I have been trying to open my eyes wider to the simple beauties I walk by everyday and sometimes forget to appreciate. Whether it's as big and beautiful as the ocean or as small and simple as a snowflake (one in the foot of snow outside my house right now).

Someone once told me to "Find the Miraculous in the Mundane" and I think he was completely right. So wherever it is you see beauty, thank God for it today, I think he will really like that :)

Better Late Than Never.

Maybe this hike took place two weeks ago but hey, "Better Late Than Never".

We walked, we laughed (a lot), we met a dog, watched the sun set over Corvallis, and then ate large quantities of Mexican food.

No outing with these girls would be complete without weird, borderline inappropriate, and hilarious comments the entire time. Seriously, I couldn't have been placed in a crazier, louder, wilder, cozier, more supportive, or loving home and I thank God everyday for it.

Hey Crazies, in case you forgot, I love you.
