Light the World.

If I have learned anything over these past three years after moving away from home, it has been the importance of community. The importance of surrounding yourself with people who love you, challenge you, and really know and appreciate you.

I sometimes feel like my heart will just burst open with the amount of gratitude I have for the incredible people in my life, especially these three right here. 'Roommates' dosn't feel like a big enough word to represent the amount of respect, love, and joy I feel when I am around these women.

They put up with my sassy comments, my crazy love for One Direction, dance parties, and popcorn, and most of all they encourage and challenge me in my walk with Jesus.

"You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
-Mathew 5:16

Thank you for continually being a light in my life and for being some of the greatest people I know. You all bring me SO much joy.

kdjf&^&$%^$^ Yeah, my heart just burst.

Off to The Woods We Went.

A five minute drive is all you need to be transported off 23rd ave to the Forest.

We enjoyed MLK day walking along these beautiful trails and soaking up the shining sun.

I love these people.
I love this gorgeous state.
I love the freedom we have to step outside and enjoy it.

I hope you all enjoyed your day off and remembered the man that fought so hardly to bring equality and love to this beautiful country.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."

21 Candles

This past Saturday we got to celebrate this pretty lady's TWENTY FIRST BIRTHDAY!

So naturally what started out as going outside to take a quick birthday photo turned into a mini photo shoot consisting on doing weird things, non stop laughter, insisting on posing with our matching birthday mugs, and documenting why these people are some of my favorites in all of the world.

We finished our day of celebration with dinner in downtown Bend where Kassi's dad insisted on making an announcement to the entire restaurant informing them of her big day. He then lead us all in an extremely embarrassing (on Kassi's part) rendition of 'Happy Birthday', thank you Jon Page.

Kassi Jean, I am so unbelievably happy you were born 21 years ago and I love you so very very much. No one brings joy to my life quite like you do and I am so thankful for that.

Cheers to you and to the next 21 years of continuous laughter!

A Walk in The Park

This right here, is the reason I love Central Oregon. There was snow on the ground but the sun was shining and as always it was beautiful. It was a great kick start to the New Year; appreciating beauty, taking photos, walking, and spending time with good people. If this in any indication of how my year will play out, count me in!
